Just another reminder that young children are very literal thinkers : )
One of our spelling words a while back was "closed". I asked the class who could use the word in a sentence. One of my students raised his hand, I called on him and he said "Sorry, but the body piercing shop is closed." He got some good laughs from the class. Where do they come up with this stuff?
When we came back from Christmas break one of my students had gotten a haircut. His mom told me that he was worried about me liking it. I guess when he was getting it cut he told his mom that I wasn't going to like it, he told her that I loved his long hair. Haha. I don't know that I ever told him that...kids are the best!
